Worship Services

To our Bell Ridge Families,

I pray that this letter finds all of you doing well. We have missed you and we have missed having you in worship. The Leadership believes that the time has come to meet together again for worship. So this Sunday, June 7th we will be having worship at 8:15 (Traditional) and 10:30 (Contemporary). We know that there are those that may have some concerns about this so we have tried to address some issues that are listed below. We want you to know that if these actions do not eliminate your concerns, do not feel obligated to come. You will be missed but we want you to feel safe so that you can focus on worshipping God. We also ask that you be considerate of others. If you know that you have been ill or around someone who is ill, please stay away for the safety of others. Here is a list of topics so that you know what to expect when you come;

Respect others’ wishes to wear or not wear a mask and to practice social distancing.

We would ask that families sit together. There will be no nursery and children are to sit with their parents. To start with every other pew will be closed off so that people will not sit right behind or in front of each other.

There will be singing. Offering plates will be in the foyer and you can drop your gifts in as you arrive or leave. Communion will be in pre-packaged units that you will pick up as you enter. We will partake together after the Elder’s meditation.

Hand sanitizer, gloves, masks, and bottled water will be available in the foyer.

We will continue to record the service utilizing video and audio for those who choose to participate, just not in our church building. We will also continue drive thru communion from 9:45-10:15 for those who wish to take communion but not come in.

Sunday School classes and Sunday night services will not be held at this time.

We hope that you will come and worship with us. If you have any concerns, please let the Elders know what you are concerned about. If we are fortunate to have the problem of too many people we will consider adding another service. If you have any questions please contact the Church office and we will try to answer them for you.

God bless and we hope to see you Sunday!

Week of Prayer

A HUGE thank you to everyone who participated in the Week of Prayer!  Our prayer is that it was uplifting to you and your family, and that God has been glorified in these hours of prayer.  I hope to do something similar next spring, so please let me know if that’s something you would like!  Psalm 126:3 – The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.

BRCC Announcements

I hope and pray that this post finds everyone doing well and that you sense God’s presence in your daily life.  Just want to share a couple of announcements.  One, Vanessa Janis is starting a zoom session for young women.  You can contact her for when they are “zooming” and to get the code to join in.  Second, May 7th is the National Day of Prayer.  Because we can not meet together to pray, the Paris Ministerial Fellowship is asking each Church to pray for our nation during one hour of that day.  Bell Ridge has been asked to pray during the 4-5 hour of the afternoon.  I hope that you will join me in that time to pray for our nation.  There are many things to pray about, but the most important would be for our nation to turn back to God one person at a time.  Ask God to change the heart of one person.

YouTube and Facebook

We have expanded the technology options for you to listen to Kurt and Don’s sermons and devotionals.  YouTube and Facebook are available if you want “see” or just “listen” to their sermon recordings.  The hyperlinks for these options are provided by accessing Media then Sermons on this website.

Communion Services

Many are asking about our “drive thru” communion service.  We will continue to serve communion on Sunday mornings starting at 9:30 AM until we are allowed to return to our regular Sunday morning worship.  God bless each and everyone of you; may He protect you and keep you healthy.

Do You Like to Mow?

Spring has sprung, the grass is growing and the Church needs people to mow the yard.  A plus for this job is that God will bless you and you can practice social distancing while doing it.  If you are interested in helping with this task, please call the church to let us know.  Thank you!

Easter, April 12, 2020

The staff of Bell Ridge is praying that each and every one of our Church family will experience God this Easter weekend.  We will be sharing communion again this Sunday in our drive thru setting starting at 9:30 AM.  If you wish to have communion but can not make it to the Church we would be glad to bring some to your home.  Just call the Church and let us know of your need.  Remember God loves you and He is in control.

Blood Drive Canteen

Kim Setzer just received a phone call from the Red Cross regarding canteen items.  She was told that she could only provide prepackaged items during the blood drive.  Kim does appreciate everyone’s offer to help but now she can’t use those food items.  She must purchase the loaves of bread and cookies.

If you have any questions, please contact Kim Setzer.

Eunice and Ladies Aid

The Eunice group and the Ladies Aid group will not be meeting in April.  Stay safe and stay strong!

Canteen Update

Thank you to everyone that offered to assist with the blood drive canteen.  We now have everything that we need.
