BRCC Ladies Aid

Our Ladies Aid group has been an active part of the congregation since the beginning in 1904. Our objective is for the best interest of our church. We meet on the third Wednesday of every other month beginning in February.  All ladies are invited to join us!

We help with these missions/projects:

Trunk or Treat

The evening sky put on a stunning show for our Trunk or Treat event.  The weather was perfect, the “trunks” were decorated and the children and adults had an enjoyable evening.

Additional pictures will be posted on the Gallery page of this website.

Rainbow at Bell Ridge

As Don was driving to the church this week, he noticed this rainbow.  It appears that the “pot of gold” was replaced with Bell Ridge Christian Church.   We are grateful that Don stopped his vehicle and took this picture for all to enjoy.

Sharing Jesus’ Love

The Genesis Sunday School Class held a “Blessings Drive By” for two of their class members, Rod and Diane.  They have been homebound for several months and their classmates wanted to share Jesus’ love with them in a unique way.  All of the participating vehicles were adorned with balloons, scripture and messages of love and hope as they drove by Rod and Diane’s home.

Moonshine Jaunt

On a sunny day in August we gathered in Moonshine for “moonburgers” (and ice cream.)   The weather was perfect for an outdoor lunch and enjoyable conversation.

Junior High Summer Retreat

Our junior high youth are enjoying a Summer Retreat this week in the Smoky Mountains.  Eleven youth and our two youth ministers were scheduled to attend but one of the youth had to cancel at the last minute.  From the smiles on these faces they are having an awesome week spending time in nature and learning about Jesus.

There are a few more pictures posted on the Gallery page.  Go to “About” then click on “Gallery.”

VBS Day 5

Today was our last day of VBS with 64 children in attendance.  The children learned that “God chooses you!” and the new memory verse was Isaiah 43:1  “I have called you by name; you are mine.”    It was an amazing week with our young people learning that “You Are Treasured.”

Our closing program will be held this evening at 6:00 p.m.  with a short program in the church auditorium and dinner outside in the area next to the playground.

VBS Day 4

The sun was shining at Bell Ridge today with 66 children enjoying VBS.  They continued to learn that they “Are a Treasure to God” with lessons, music, worship, games, crafts, snacks and missions.  The theme today was “God forgives you!” and their memory Bible verse was Nehemiah 9:17 “But you are a God of forgiveness, gracious and merciful, slow to become angry, and rich in unfailing love.”

VBS meets tomorrow morning (Friday, June 11) from 8:30 – 11:30 a.m.  All Pre-K to 8th grade children are welcome.

The VBS closing program will be tomorrow evening at 6:00 p.m. with a brief program in the church auditorium and dinner outside near the playground.
